I just pulled a report and there are not many homes at that rental rate. The lowest I saw today was 1050 but it changes daily.

This question posted Jan 2009.

In 2009, you did have a better chance of success.
IN 2014 this would be the poster-child of how NOT to succeed in buying a foreclosure.

Best of success,

You can input information about your home for sale in Trulia (see upper right for the "Submit Listings" link). However, if you are not experienced with real estate, my advice is to find an agent who has is certified in handling distressed properties in your area. Short sales are difficult transactions and can be very time consuming, frustrating and require a high level of precision and expertise. Follow this link to find such a professional in your area: http://www.cdpe.com/find/cdpe Best wishes and I hope all goes well for you. ... more

Hi Liza,

Will you be financing your home or paying cash? If paying cash, you can close in less than 2 weeks. If you are financing, you're looking at 28-45 days depending on the lender. It may take you a little longer to actually find the home that works for you rather than closing on the home.

If it's been sent to you as a check from the IRS then you can. If it's just what you have figured that you will get back, then you can't since that is not proof that you will get it. The IRS could deny your claim, although it's not likely but it is still funds you are expecting and do not yet have. But if you are making the offer to a person it will be up to them if they accept your return as proof. ... more

I think we are going to start seeing more of this in the coming times. Sellers who are a little under and need to move and buyers who's credit has a ding but should be corrected in a year or 2. I just went to a seminar and I do think to some degree this will start becoming a bit more common again. Just be absolutely sure you have someone who knows what they are doing regarding this or it can go haywire quick!!!

I suggest you post your interest on Craigs list and find a Realtor that is familiar with the process to seal the deal!!! good luck

Kindest Regards
