JellyBean I am sure you understand that having an open bankruptcy and foreclosure is not something any potential landlord would like to see. Also, I am confused why you are discussing renting an apartment now when the foreclosure process on your home is still incomplete. In the State of Michigan the bank cannot move to evict you until your right to redeem the property has expired, which is 6 months. If the foreclosure process is not yet complete you may have another 10 months before the bank can demand that you vacate the premises.

For now, focus on discussing the matter with the bank and see if you can work out a modification. If this is not possible The State of Michigan has a program which allows previous owners to rent back their apartments after the foreclosure sale. This may give you another 7 months before you have to relocate.

Good Luck
