I'm amazed by these responses of "I never had anyone test for lead". Are you kidding - lead disclosure is mandated in most states and lead testing is how you find out. House well beyond 1950 have lead paint. Especially windows. Come on. ... more

You have to have an agent account, be logged in and scroll to upper right, click on your name, then listings and claim. Make sure your mls either has a box to check to include your listings to sites like Trulia or sign up for a service that will forward and post your listings on third party sites. You can no longer add them manually ... more

Hi Neetu!

I see your question is a bit old, but....I'd like to help you if you haven't already made your move.

One question that would help with this is...what is your price range? The towns you mentioned, Livingston, Summit and Mllburn/Short Hills are all excellent options, albeit pricey - with great school systems and lots of local shops, movies, restaurants and recreational opportunities. Millburn and Summit have more of an "old world", charming feel with older homes (colonials and Tudors are common styles). The also have downtown walk-able commercial areas, and offer the Midtown Direct train into Manhattan (no changing trains.).
Livingston has a more contemporary feel - the style of homes can range from ultra contemporary to more traditional colonials and ranches. The commute would be via a bus (4-55 min) as well as a jitney service to the direct train in S Orange.

I would be happy to discuss this further, and in more detail, so feel free to reach out to me at your convenience.

If, however, you have already made your move........welcome and I wish you all the best!!
Regards,
Debbie

Why not contact a local lender who can review all of your information, and give you a clear answer? Impossible for anyone here to know. Good luck!

You can create an account and go from there. I would suggest using a professional when selling a home. It is the biggest money transaction you probably will ever deal with and they not only could list your home but also get you so much more exposure than just this site! Check out my blog I have listed some very interesting facts about home sales and selling FSBO.
Good Luck
