LPS is an amazing district!!! They are a smaller district and very family oriented. My child has been in LPS for 4 years now even after moving into Douglas, which is not bad but definitely not LPS. I went to LPS schools and taught there as well so may be a little biased but they are great. Keep in mind you can be in the best school and get bad teachers or be in the worst schools and have the best teachers so it just depends but overall I would say that we have not had any issues at all. everyone I know in the district loves it as well. :) I hope this helps. ... more

Claudia Light answered:
Its too bad that both can't attend the same school. Your son will most likely adapt to his new school and class and be just fine once he has made a few friends. It may be to his advantage that his sister isn't in the same school as a forced independence if he has been dependent on her. I think the hardest part is on the parents because so often it is the parents that have to drive to two schools, attend teachers meetings at two schools and attend activities at two schools. My thought is that is will be much harder on the parents than the children.

Best wishes to you in August!

The acceptability of schools can only be decided by the buyer, as agents we are not legally allowed to give our opinions on schools. There are however some great resources to determine how a schools performance now compares to past performance. You can email me at or call me at 3034893397 if you would like more information.
