I already answered this but since I don't see what I wrote I'll try agian. The town is ok but nothing like it was even 20 yrs ago, The schools are overcrowded and mixed, the taxes are pretty high and keep going up, 250k to 260k you should be able to get something decent but not with many upgrades unless you are looking at condo's or townhomes. I know this is an old question but wanted to throw my 2cent in anyway for anyone looking now in 2012 "-) ... more

Juulee,

If the property on Trulia was "listed" on the site by Realty Trak, then probably not. Realty Trak takes homes that are in pre-forecosure from public records and posts them on Trulia.

Being in pre-foreclosure does not mean the house is listed, is for sale, is going to be sold, or even that it WILL be foreclosed upon. Owners of homes in pre-foreclosure still have option to delay or cancel the foreclosure process.

If you post the link to the property you are speaking about, I can give you a better answer, but my guess is that this house isn't even on the market.

Jeanne, if you are planning on staying in your home for at least 2 more years, you don't need to do an ARM or balloon mortgage to get lower rates these days -- unless you really want to! The current interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is 4.25% and 15-year mortgage interest rates are averaging in the low 3's!!! Go to one of the local savings banks (Hudson City, Bogota Savings, Valley National) for more information, or call Tammy Lambert at Coldwell Banker Mortgage (201-213-1511) and lock in these great rates THIS WEEK. You will be glad you did! ... more

I WAS TOLD THAT 75% OF HOMES IN LITTLE FERRY REQUIRE FLOOD INSURANCE, THAT DOES NOT MEAN ALL THESE HOMES GET WATER, AS A GENERAL RULE LIBERTY STREET IS USED AS THE MARKER HOMES TO THE EAST OF LIBERTY ARE IN THE FLOOD ZONE!
ON THE SOME STREETS HOMES ALWAYS GET FLOODED AND OTHERS DO NOT IT ALL DEPENDS ON EACH PROPERTY, BUT IF YOU PURCHASE A HOME IN THE FLOOD ZONE THE MORTGAGE COMPANY REQUIRES YOU TO PURCHASE FLOOD INSURANCE. IT MAY BE A GOOD IDEA TO ASK AROUND FROM OTHERS LIVING NEARBY BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, SOME AREAS MAY NOT GET TOO FLOODED BUT YOU MAY BE STUCK IN YOUR HOUSE IF THE STREET IS FLOODED.
