Random violemce is a constant threat and the cover of darkness only makes walking the streets after dark even more dangerous. Protect your self by being being fully trained and armed with a conceled weapon of your choice. If you are uncomfortable in doing this, do your walking in the early morning. The people that are most likely to cause you harm after dark are still sleeping and the daylight provides addtional safety. You may also want to get a large dog to take with you on your walks no matter what time of day or night. ... more

Depends on what you are used to! I would walk or drive the neighborhood both in the day and the night and get a feel for it.

The 203k FHA loan will be able to help you. This is up to 30k for Home Improvement. I have at least 3 lenders that offer this product. We have a few more, but the rates are out of whack. Take into account the 203k is about .5-.75 higher to the rate than a regular FHA 203b loan.
Call or email me if you have questions
