Hi Angel: I believe you should have a structural report done for your satisfaction - and also - you can ask the township if any of these things were reported for permits before - if not - they need to be now and be closed out - this could be a potential problem in the future - should ever want to resell. ... more

This home’s listing agent can tell you more about this place that I can (and probably will know a lot about similar properties in the area). You can email the agent from listing page using the orange “Contact Agent” button to the right of the home photos.

Or, you can look for other local agents on Trulia here: http://www.trulia.com/voices/directory/

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!

Best,
Ali

Glenn DeStefano answered:
Megan - sorry to hear that you have this issue to deal with. I will let the Real Estate professionals advise you on recourse with the previous owner.
As an Insurance Public Adjuster, I will tell you that you probably have a claim that can be filed with your Homeowner's Insurance that will cover your repairs and damages. You do not want to handle this on your own and call it in without representation.
Give me a call if you would like me to take a look and see if it's worthwhile to file a claim on your behalf.

Glenn DeStefano

Hi, I currently have a rental in Thornridge and I am negotiable with pets. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 and half baths, its totally remodeled and clean. It has a large, fenced yard on a corner property, great for pets. I am a dog lover and have two myself. I do know they can do damage but as long as you are willing to give a pet security, that works for me. Call me today at 215-208-8687. I am a PA licensed realtor. If this house doesn't work for you, I can help you find one that does. ... more

Hi Diana,
Great asking price for Highland Park, but it does need some work. As everyone has already said you'll want to hire a Realtor to work as your advisor and to review the recent sales in Highland Park to see what a reasonable offer would be. Love that neighborhood & location. Here's a link to my blog post about the home buying process in Bucks County. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Terry Lohrbeer answered:
Hello Home Buyer,
This home was last listed for sale on 4/30/11. My guess is it might be going through the foreclosure process. If that is the case, the bank will buy the home back at a sheriff's sale and then list it for sale with a realtor as a bank owned property. This process can take 3-12 months depending on the backlog with the bank. The best thing to do is keep checking for a sign on the lawn because that will be your first indication that it is back on the market. At that point you would want to have your own realtor to represent you since it won't cost you anything. If I can be of any help please feel free to give me a call.
Good Luck,

Terry Lohrbeer/ Realtor
