Chinese drywall removal is more complicated than merely removing and replacing the drywall. It involves stripping wires, replacing fixtures, a/c repairs etc. There is extensive information available on the government website. If remediation is done correctly I would expect it to be over $10,000 and could be much more.

I know this is a trying experience and the government hasn't helped by allowing class action suits to limit customer support. It had been a lesson for us all. Best of luck

In Lehigh Acres most of the properties are going to be on well water and septic tank systems. Your water will not be charged to you. However, the purmp on the well system is run by electricity. The electric utilities will be your responsibility. You will need to put down a deposit if you have not had an electric bill in this area before.

However if you work with certain Realtors, they can direct you to great resources to get the answers.
Facts are, most people do as you do, look at properties then hire a Realtor, that will be costing them nothing. You should be doing the reverse and you will find life a lot easier as well as receiving the property that you would consider buying then looking through a lot you would not. .

What you need to do, find a Realtor and work with one. Your questions requires work, which I be glad to do, but let face it, call a lawyer, go to a doctor, or any profession, and ask s question that requires some work, and see what kind of response you be getting.

So Realtors place a lot oft time, in keeping their knowledge current, and working with prospect, and are force at times to eat the expense and a lost. Being a realtor, means you are paid after the success is made! When you achieve the goal and objective of your client. This is how Realtors survives. All the other professions, gets paid regardless of the results. Now you may want to say, lawyers won't get paid in certain cases, if they lose the case. Trust me, they took the case because they have strong feelings their chances are better than none, they can win something! A doctor, will finds way to be paid, even if their patient dies.

Having said all the above, you can understand the lack of response you got from your question. You asking for people to do work, and not be paid. My question to you, how many jobs would you do like that?
