There are many retirees in this area - like anywhere else - there are good areas and not so good - best way is to inquire at the local sheriff's dept and ask about statistics and or about area - once you have decided on a home - best thing to do is to have an inspection done - it should not only cover possible issues with chinese (I guess latest terminology is "defective drywall") drywall but also any other issues house may have

You may want to check with the local power company too.If the power has been tampered with the electric company will not turn the service back on until the county has inspected it..Which requires you to get permits,Electrician,wiring and possibly rewire the whole house..Then you have to have it CO,d and then you can have electric again..Time frame ??????????Just a cheap check before you leap.. ... more

Depends on what you bought. Did you buy a single family house or a townhouse/condominium? Townhouses and condos usually have by laws and regulations about pets and pet weights. If you bought a single family house, it doesn't matter. If you bought a townhouse or condo, you will have to check the by laws to see what is or is not allowed. ... more
