Most real estate websites don't offer this because architectural classifications - whether we're talking tax records or what an agent enters on a listing - tend to be really inconsistent and are somewhat general.

Where I live, the classifications don't get as specific as "Victorian" or "mid-century modern". Instead you get "old style" which includes a whole bunch of other stuff that's not even remotely Victorian or in the case of MCM (my personal passion), I've seen everything houses labeled as everything from from "contemporary" to "traditional". Then again, a house built in the 80s or 90s can easily qualify for "contemporary" while sharing very little in common with true MCM style.

Your best bet is to focus on neighborhoods that have a concentration of the sort of housing stock you want. I personally use the Realtor.com app for most of my searching needs.

Call the broker of your real estate company and explain to him/her what you have shared with us here. Discuss your options. Perhaps the broker can assign your listing to another, more attentive agent? If you are completely unhappy with the company, tell the broker. Most would be willing to work things out with their customers vs having unhappy customers posting negative comments on various real estate sites.

By the way, shame on any agents trying to solicit your listing while you are still under contract with another brokerage. That might be considered a violation of the NAR Code of Ethics, Article 16.

Liddy,

Rental scams are common here and on any site that allows the general public to post. Please be very cautious with deals that seem too good to be true. NEVER send money expecting keys back by mail.

Read the scam warning Trulia posts. I've attached a link to it below.

When you find a questionable listing please go to the More button on the listing and then hit the FLAG button on the listing page to warn Trulia and others.
