If you're not working with a Realtor you'll need to use a different platform such as zillow.com or forsalebyowner.com. But if you are working with a Realtor, they will be able to list it on Trulia for you.
You can do whatever you want. When writing a contract to buy, your agent will specify how you plan to take title. If you do it by yourself it would be "in Severalty". If you choose to buy it with your wife you can choose "Joint Tenants" or "Tenants in Common".

Las Animas County is bigger than the State of Delaware and the agents don't like coming this far from Trinidad, much less Pueblo to show any listing. Looky lous cost big bucks with summer gas and no jobs and darn few sales. Take a week and a map and do your own looking. Google doesn't have much right out here and no cell service.... more
Here in Las Animas County, the gas companies are shutting in wells and laid almost everyone off. No other industries exist, so jobs are state, county, city, or school and they are filled and fought over. Oh yeh, there's always Wal-Mart.... more
I was wondering why the population of Trinidad is currently stagnant? I have always loved Trinidad, as a child I lived in a surrounding area and we always went there to shop, but moved away many years ago......lately my husband and I have been discussing where we would like to live now that our retirement years are approaching. I remembered how nice Trinidad was and mentioned it to him, so we are very interested in more information about Trinidad.......so what changed that the population is stagnant?... more
I have seen enclosed cesspools in the past but none lately. You would have to ask the county health department. I know its legal to collect your grey water but I'm pretty sure that raw sewage needs to be contained and either pumped and disposed of properly or sent into a leach field. BTW I have come across "outhouses" still in use today especially out on the eastern plains. not sure if they're still legal, but they are in existence. of course, they usually dont get that much use.... more
