Hello Amy
Just to claify, the house has just had a notice of default. it is currently not listed for sale on the MLS but it could be coming as a short sale or the owner may be able to cure the default or get a loan modification. Trulia does not seem to list the exact address and there have not been any recent sales in this uniqued little anclave. Are you familiar with this area of Larkspur. I would be happy to discuss the posibilities regarding this and other distressed properties with you.

Hello Patty,

I recommend hooking up with a local Realtor in Marin who access to the REAL MLS for Marin County. I am impressed that you realize Trulia is a MLS syndicator sites that manually update listings versus a real MLS linked search. Realtors like to feel your engaging them for services. Good luck in your search in Marin. ... more

Mary Kay and Kathy Yamamoto answered:

No, the property is not currently for sale. It was listed for sale last year for $1,895,000 and did not sell, it was withdrawn from the market on 12/3/08. It was a home built in 1908 that had been extensively remodeled and expanded. It was then listed for rent and leased on 12/16/08 for $5,500/month.

We hope this information is helpful. If there are any other real estate questions we can answer for you please do not hesitate to contact us. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Best Regards,

Mary Kay & Kathy Yamamoto

Phillipa Criswell answered:
Hi Mark,
You have been given good information on the property, this price point in Marin County is a strong buyer's market at the moment. Figures, from a couple of weeks ago, show there were 86 homes in Marin County for sale in the $2mill to $3mill category and only 5 of those were in contract. Not sure exactly what you are looking for but I highly recommend you check out other areas in Larkspur and the other southern Marin towns of Sausalito, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere and Corte Madera. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Best regards, Phillipa Criswell
