I agree with Al, the cover letter is not even secondary. It's way down the list. MEET with them, talk to them, discuss their business as well as your own desire to work in the industry.
Interviews are two way streets. There are brokers and companies that I wouldn't want to work for.
Real estate is a sales and relational business. Can you understand a buyers motivation, a seller's goals and an agents bluff? Are you willing to work 7 days a week, market yourself in busy and slow times and set yourself apart from the crowd?
This is not a job, it's a self employed profession and personal business. You may get lots of offers, do you know which ones may be better than others? It's not about commission splits, but about training, support, guidance, protection and innovation.
Don't take the first offer you get. Meet with 3 or more offices and talk to some of the other agents about what they like and don't like about the company, policies and the broker.
Best of luck.

Sorry for the typos in my posting below!

To "Flag" a listing, look below the photos. You'll see several options, including "More" in blue font. Click on "More" and you'll get a dropdown menu. The last option is "Flag". Select this and Trulia gives you the option to flag the listing and provide more details.

Good luck everyone!

If it's working, I would leave it alone. You are better off financially to offer a Home Warranty with the house which will not only cover the heat and air should it fail, but many other items such a plumbing electrical and hot water heaters. The only thing a new system will do for you is perhaps help you sell the home sooner... but it is an expected part of the home. ... more

Closer to work might be smarter as you go there 5 days a week. If you move to Colorado it's possible you can do both!

On the listing you linked there is a map. Over the map is a tab for Crimes. You can start with that, but you should also confirm the findings with the local police.

Hi Pattie - In both Loveland and Fort Collins you have 3 choices - there is a Wal-Mart Super Store just east of I25 in Timnath, however this store is conveniently located right off I-25, just a few miles up from Loveland. In Loveland itself there is a Wal-Mart on Hwy 34 - on the east part of town. In Fort Collins, there is one on Lemay. There are also many other wonderful stores in both areas. Feel free to contact me for all your questions about Northern Colorado. I also send prospective clients a relocation packet full of all the exciting opportunities in Northern Colorado. Let me know if I can be of further assistance by calling 970.217.6843 - or emailing me at

Unfortunately, your question does not specify a specific property. However, the majority of homes in the drake area have a well and have propane. If you care to share which property you have in mind, I'd be happy to inform you what the scoop is since I service this area and have several listings in Drake.

Hi Kerry,
If you can afford to sell your current home to cover the deficiency then I would suggest doing that. It can help you avoid hurting your credit score with a short sale. Otherwise you could lease out your current property and possibly qualify for both homes.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions or needs, don't hesitate to check me out through the website below. Best of luck!

Hi Leanne,
Fort Collins has been voted #1 as the best place to live in Colorado for many reasons. Fort Collins is a great city with all the amenities that you could ever need but still has the small friendly feel of many neighboring towns. Fort Collins schools are rated with much higher SAT scores than Windsor and Greeley.
Windsor is a neighboring community only 20 minutes from Fort Collins and is considered a "bedroom community" A smaller city with a small town feel. Windsor has experienced phenomenal growth because of it’s schools but unfortunately grew a bit too fast for the school system. Though, because of this growth they are building a new Jr High to accommodate.

Another area you may want to consider is Severance just 15 minutes from Fort Collins, and there are plans for a new Jr High, High School and Elementary in the next year. Severance, like Windsor, also has they small town feel.

I hope this is helpful. You can check further details and information at There is a School Reports section thats easy to utilize and feature to search homes in the area under Find A Home.

Warmest Regards,
