What is the Realistic Down Payment Required?? FHA Loans says you need about a 620 to 640 Credit Score. Is this realistic?

Unless you are going to A1A, I'd stay away from any area East of I-95, especially, Lake Worth. Do yourself a Big Favor: Get a Police Crime Report! I think you can go to the P.D and ask for it--used to be free or you can get it online. I hear of a lot crime going on East Lake Worth which is the next town north of Lantana.

I used to live West on Lantana Road & 441--Great Area! Want a small town, and a nice home for your money? Look at Vero Beach FL. 60 Miles North. Nice homes for about $110-$150K.

Good Luck!

It depends where? I'd stay away from I-95 East. Lantana Road West of Jog is a good area but expect to pay more.

Want to buy in a small town, low property taxes and lots of home for your $$?? Vero Beach, FL 32962.

I used to live on Lantana Road & 441 for 20 Years. Loved it until the Wellington Mall went up and the 100's of shops. Not to mention Palm Beach County Property Taxes are sky high compared to Indian River County, where I live now (my taxes are about 60% Less than PBC).

I hope this town stays as is! Good Luck. Foreclosure homes many of them end up being bought up by cash investors, which then rent them out to whomever until the market goes back up. Rental devalued your home Or the banks will be forced to sell to first time, low income buyers which will struggle to maintain the upkeep of the property.....Again, good Luck!

This is not New York City, stay away for those properties!

We’re in the best time to buy in recent history, why go for a White Elephant that won't increase in value the same as other NORMAL properties and will always be a pure pain to sell because on the lack of financing on those type of properties.

Take my advice and stay away from those and Short Sales of anything!

The Town of Lantana is a quaint seaside community located east of I-95 and is nestled between Lake Worth and Boynton Beach, FL. (Suburbia Lantana extends about 5 miles west of I-95). There are several areas to launch your boat including the public boat ramps located on the main street called Ocean Avenue. Along with the boat ramps Ocean Ave also has great eating establishments and is the main street that will take you across the bridge to the beaches. There are several condo buildings and neighborhoods in Lantana along the waterway where you can dock your boat if you are a resident. Lantana is also convenient to Delray (10 miles to the south), West Palm Beach (10 miles to the north) and with access to the intracoastal waterway there are great areas for sailing in calm waters that will take you all along the east coast of Florida.
If you have any further questions about Lantana or the surrounding areas please contact me directly.

First, your Realtor should help you determine if the asking price is on point with current sales. Then, condition of the house should come into play. For example, if the roof needs repair then your offer should be less than the asking price. ... more
