We’re excited you’re using Trulia for your home search process. We are a real estate search engine so we don't represent the homes found on our site. Please follow these steps to begin your home search:

1. Click the "Rent' tab at the top of our homepage.
2. Enter your desired city and state in the search bar and hit Enter.
3. Click 'Max Price' to select what your highest price would be to pay for a home. Click 'Min Price' to set the lowest price you would pay.
4. Click 'More Filters'.
5. Select your preferred property type, square footage, etc.
6. Click the red 'Apply' button.

This will begin to pull up listings that are more tailored to what you are looking for.

If you are interested in a listing, click on the "Contact the agent" button to get in touch with a real estate professional in your area. You can also take advantage of our vast network of agents here:

We hope your experience with Trulia is memorable and thank you for using Trulia for all your real estate needs.

Although I am not sure what home you are referring to, there are many times that listings aren't even for rent or sale. If it is a current rental and without knowing who entered the information, maybe it was entered at the wrong price by mistake and the other listing was never deleted. I'm only guessing. ... more

Never ever call or email back to the type of emails you got. They are a scam. Unfortunately, Trulia seems to be full of these scammers.

Unless the owner or real estate agent can meet with you at the residence and supply ID do NOT believe they own the property.

Do your research. Go to the county website and look up the home in the public records. Find out who the owner is, whether the property is in foreclosure, or if it has already been foreclosed. I've had people email me about a property where the family had just walked away and left the door open. It was a great deal and I really need a place to live. It was a scam. I almost had half the neighborhood ready to beat me up because I tried to open the house door.

I was an idiot. I fell for it and almost ended up paying rent on a home that was foreclosed and had an eviction order on it for the previous owners. And if that wasn't enough, the jerk wrote me to say he would pray for my daughter and me because I am disabled. Bull*^$#. Those people's prayers should be saved for the ones that fell for the scam and are now on the street because of people like them.

From your question you sound like an intelligent person. Use that intelligence and do your homework on every property. Most counties won't charge you anything unless you want paper copy. Good luck.

I would recommend going on craigslist. That is your best bet. You can always call any local agency and get info on there procedure, but craigslist is a better way out. Plenty of options. Check out the link below. The best of luck to you.

Many apartment complexes have breed restrictions but homeowners renting can make their own decisions. Renting a home is probably your best bet and many will allow a Pitt Bull but will charge a fee for having a pet. Their are so many homes listed for rent that have been on the market a while, just check Zillow for the area you are looking at and contact the homeowner or agent listed. Every place is different so no one can answer for a specific house except the homeowner or listing agent but everything is negotiable and you would be surprised how many need to rent this places out. If you have good credit and the income to support the rent you will have a better shot at getting it with the dog. They probably require you to get renters insurance and probably a rider for the pet to cover any liability. ... more
