Ron Rovtar answered:
According to information supplied by the Boulder Area Realtor Association, there were 72 traditional MLS sales of homes in Lafayette during the last quarter of 2012, compared to 56 during the same period in 2011. This was an increase of 28.6 percent. Average house prices jumped 5.2 percent to $395,013 and the median jumped 2.6 percent to $371,866. Average Days to Contract fell from 96 in Q4 2011 to just 38 during the same period in 2012. In general there currently exists an inventory shortage throughout Boulder County, including Lafayette, making this a good time to sell but a difficult time for buyers.
