I would first look at your Covenants and Restrictions and get approval from your Hoa. I would also try calling City of N. Charleston 843-554-5700 and ask if you need a Permit to have it cut down. Look under http://library. municode.com under Article VI - Area Yard & Other requirements Section 6-16. It is for R1 Single Family Homes and Section 6-16 talks about Tree Protection and Cutting Trees.

Let me know if this helps. Peggy Polomski 843-754-6058, Agent, Summerville

Joshua Calvert answered:
In order to put yourself on the loan you and your husband would have to refinance your house. All mortgages have a "due on sale" clause meaning that anytime the deed changes hands they require the loan to be paid off. If they original title doesn't match their records they could possibly make you pay the full amount of your house at the time that you change the deed. In other words, if the bank were to do an audit and the name on the mortgage is "Bob Bigglesworth" and the deed says the property is titled to "Bob and Betty Bigglesworth", they could construe that as the property changing hands and demand satisfaction of the loan at that time. My advice to you would be to speak with a Real Estate Attorney and see what your best options are. If you have any further questions I'd love to speak with you about them! Give me a call at (843)789-9860 or visit me on the web at www.TheBestRealEstateAgentInSC.com or at www.youtube.com/jlcalvert2005. Thanks Ann! Have a great day! ... more

Teresa Cooper answered:
Yes, Rich, this property was sold, and closed recently. An agent in our Home Solution Real Estate office helped the Buyer find the house, negotiate the terms, and co-ordinate all the details needed to get to closing. Our agent helped her find a great house, at an excellent price, and close the transaction quickly and with no hassles. The new homeowner is thrilled with her purchase!

There are other similar homes in this neighborhood that are also currently available for sale, and we'd be delighted to help you with your purchase of one!

Doni,

This home is located in the College Park subdivision of Ladson. It was listed on June 21 at $75,000. The last time it sold was 11/26/02, for $97,000. Is there something specific you would like to know about the house, or would you like to schedule a time to see it?

I am very familiar with this neighbor hood and I have not seen any home for sale there that fits this description. The lowest priced property is around $70,000 and has extensive fire damage. There are a couple of foreclosures that need lots of work.

You can search all local properties listed on the MLS at my website. Let me know if I can help.
