Trulia only pulls data from the MLS used by brokers. You'd have to at least pay for an MLS only listing for your property to appear here and on the bulk of real estate sites. Trulia and Zillow might belong to the same parent company but they have very different business models.

Zillow lets users add and change data. Trulia does not allow for public editing.

That agent who called you doesn't work for Trulia. They paid a fee to get referrals from this website.

If you're an agent, create an agent profile. If you're not an agent, you won't be able. Trulia only allows property posting be real estate professionals.

Best of luck!

Bill Eckler answered:
Hi Duffy,

Sellers shouldn't expect agents to "reinvent" their marketing plan for the sake of getting their listing. In my opinion, agents would be best served by presenting their written comprehensive marketing plan for the sale of the home.

We all know there are much better means to spend your marketing dollar than patronizing the usually over priced local town crier. Being able to demonstrate what you do to promote the sale of a property should go a long way in fending off any additional unnecessary expenses.

In my opinion, newspaper advertising's effectiveness has decreased significantly....to the point that all agents should be weary of this once dominating marketing tool.

Respectfully,

Bill

If you have not heard of HAFA (Home Affordable Forclosure Alternative Program) check this link. It is also a short sale program, but not through your bank. I just became aware of the program and am not affiliated in any way. It does sound like a viable alternative, however. Good luck.

Hi Brandia,
I looked your home up on MLS and it does show up as an active listing with 16 photos, just ask your Realtor to add those same photos to Trulia, and you should be set, best of luck to you for a successful sale! From the pictures it looks like you have done a lot of work to it, compared to the old pictures, it looks terrific and hopefully will get a lot of showings and offers!

Jane -

Pam Jank is mistaken on her comments.

A similar model down the street was short-listed but sold.

Our home has a terrific finished basement that was permitted and inspected with the City of Coeur d'Alene.

It is unfortunate when miss information is posted on the website. Ms. Jank is apparently a Real Estate Pro, but has her information incorrect.

Our home is currently on the market.
