As a crohn's patient with a malady of other ails, I've had horrible experience at Kootenai Medical Experience. It wasn't until I spoke with my landlord that I learned he experienced two of his good Friends' death while seeking treatment at KMC. One was a stroke victim who they sent home without treating and who died a few weeks later, another with headaches who they sent home, only to die within two weeks of an aneurism. Another person I know went in for kidney stones and was given pain drugs and sent home. When he asked what to do about the stones, he was told they only prescribe pain pills. In my own experience, the nursing staff were horrid and even went so far as to tell me that I had "better not purposely pee the bed." as I laid there with a broken leg As a crohn's patient, I researched hospitals in the areas in which I was considering and was under the impression KMC was a "World Class" facility based on what people told me. Now I have to move again in order to be closer to an actual "World Class Healthcare Facility". If you have a chronic illness, I suggest you take great care in doing your homework, and whether KMC will be up for the task of treating you. ... more

Most residential properties on 5 acre lots allow for horses to be kept and most of the lots in rural Spirit lake or Athol are on 5+ acres. What is the address of the home you're inquiring about?
The first issue on any rural property is "What is the zoning regulation?" secondly "Are there any HOA or CC&R restrictions which would supercede the county law?" The last thing to look for is what is being practiced by the neighbors currently ie: if the law says "yes" and no neighbors have horses, then you'll need to dig deeper. If several neighbors currently keep horses that is a good sign and yet you would be wise to check county ordinances and HOA restrictions.

Sellers shouldn't expect agents to "reinvent" their marketing plan for the sake of getting their listing. In my opinion, agents would be best served by presenting their written comprehensive marketing plan for the sale of the home.

We all know there are much better means to spend your marketing dollar than patronizing the usually over priced local town crier. Being able to demonstrate what you do to promote the sale of a property should go a long way in fending off any additional unnecessary expenses.

In my opinion, newspaper advertising's effectiveness has decreased the point that all agents should be weary of this once dominating marketing tool.
