That depends on several things. Is the property owner occupied? Is the property "staged" and properly prepared for showing? Does it have landscaping that will show better in a few months? What is your motivation? Do you need to sell quickly? Generally, the inventory of homes will increase as we get into the summer mode, so if you place your home on the market now, there will be fewer homes competing for the buyer's attention. Also interest rates are very favorable right now and most expect rates to rise, which can have a negative impact on buyer's ability to purchase. Hi Chuck,

It is still a buyer’s market in the Tahoe area, inventory is high and not that many buyers.

If you don't need to sell in this market I would hold off until things start picking up. But on the positive side, we are starting to see an increase in activity (properties going into contract) in the last few weeks compared to a month ago.

I can run a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) for you based on comparable properties in your area. This will give you a better idea of what the true value of your home is in the current market.
