I would like to know an answer to this as well. Recently I asked my bunco group of 12, all but one live in Olathe, how much they pay for the bi monthly Johnson County Wastewater bill. I was very surprised to learn that more than half of them don't get a bill from them. The ones who do are paying half what I am being charged. At one time this bill was completely affordable, and then all of a sudden it doubled. I would like to know why some of my neighbors don't get a bill at all and others are paying half what I am. It is frustrating! ... more

Your friend doesn't know what they are talking about and you need to understand that Trulia adn Zillow have nothing at all to do with real estate other than advertise it. As a new agent your best bet in terms of training an opportunity will actually come from one of the larger franchises and after working there for a couple of years and gaining experience then you could look at some of the smaller firms. Starting at a small firm is almost a gaurantee that you like 80% of all new Realtros won't be in real estate within two years. ... more

I completely understand your concern Yellacorvettec5. I would recommend going in and claiming your home. How you do this is, search for your home. Once the display page for your home comes up, near the address you should be able to click on edit home details. From there you should be able to claim your home and they will send you a verification email. After this takes place you will have the ability to make necessary changes to your property and hopefully one of them is the subdivision. Best of luck to you! ... more

WE are moving to the Wichita area and trying to find a good city to live with excellent schools and a big yard with mature trees. Is there any reason not to live in Derby?

Avoid the north end. Anything Crawford or south of it, is generally safe. Avoid airport apartments, it's next to a homeless shelter and in the industrial area.

Just to be clear, Greater Auburndale is a neighborhood in Topeka city limits (near Potwin), it is NOT the same as the town of Auburn.

I would advise that you contact a local commercial real estate firm in your area. They will be able to provide you with a list of properties that fits your needs.

Good luck.

We have some very good quality builders in Manhattan. However, i would recommend you contact the Flint Hills Area Builders Association at (785) 532-9080 or faba@flinthillsbuilders.net. Building a house is a very personal experience and you should build with a builder that you are comfortable with and who knows your wants and needs. I would highly recommend interviewing at least three builders before you decide who to build with. Also, the time of year is critical because many of the builders are already building custom homes for other people and they may not be able to get to you until a year out. Most builders in Manhattan already own their own building lots. It is highly unlikely that you could come to Manhattan and purchase a lot to build on within the city limits. ... more

It is located in one of our smaller lake subdivisions. Sales have generally been slower than areas due to the availability of rural water and septic systems. it is quiet and clean in the subdivision except it does have dirt roads. Crime in Manhattan has never been a problem and is less of a problem out in the country. ... more
