I would like to know an answer to this as well. Recently I asked my bunco group of 12, all but one live in Olathe, how much they pay for the bi monthly Johnson County Wastewater bill. I was very surprised to learn that more than half of them don't get a bill from them. The ones who do are paying half what I am being charged. At one time this bill was completely affordable, and then all of a sudden it doubled. I would like to know why some of my neighbors don't get a bill at all and others are paying half what I am. Your friend doesn't know what they are talking about and you need to understand that Trulia adn Zillow have nothing at all to do with real estate other than advertise it. As a new agent your best bet in terms of training an opportunity will actually come from one of the larger franchises and after working there for a couple of years and gaining experience then you could look at some of the smaller firms. Starting at a small firm is almost a gaurantee that you like 80% of all new Realtros won't be in real estate within two years. ... more

WE are about 30 miles from Ft. Riley. It takes out 30-35 minutes to get there. Quite a few military families live here and drive to Ft. Riley.

Doing a drive by a house for sale and listening to sounds over 15 minutes, talking with neighbors, seeing if there are times of day such as a school dismissal that affect traffic, checking for sex offenders, etc. are all good things to do prior to buying a property. I am sorry that you got incorrect information given to you. This property, the one I understand that you inquired about at 8497 Mockingbird Lane IS in the Lakewood Hills Improvement District. It is located at the corner of Mockingbird Lane and Meadow Lane. It is NOT a home that you would care to live in as it was to be destroyed at one time as a nusiance but that regretiably did not occur. The best part is that by removing the structure you would have a building lot with sewer and water and, yes it has more than one lot and adjoining lots are available.
