However, I see this home is for sale for $159,900 but I don't see it is for rent in
the MLS program for realtors. I was for rent in 2011 but the rent was $1,175 then so
I'm not sure if Trulia is correct with a rent of only $700. I don't see it for rent with
Prudential in MLS at that price. If you need a list of rentals at $700 let me know and
I can email you a current list of rentals.

For the children to attend outside of the normal school district you must get permission from the school board. Usually after school child care or other circumstances may allow you to have an exception. Transportation would be your responsibility.

My son is in 9th grade there and is testing at the same level he entered 8 years ago...BAD SCHOOL AND LOTS OF DRUGS!!!!! This is a very poor county..The schools reflect that.. ... more

Hi there! I believe that public schools start pre school at age 5, but if you wanted private school, they start pre school at age 4. Jacksonville Christian Academy is good.

Hello - I can personally vouch for Living Waters Christian School. My grandson is enrolled in their pre-K program, and we have been extremely happy. There is a large Baptist Church on Gum Branch Rd which offers Jacksonville Christian Academy. They also have a pre-K program. My best friend's daughter is enrolled there and she is also very happy. I am sure there are others, but those are two which I can highly recommend. Good luck, and welcome to Jacksonville. Please make sure you check out the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Onslow County websites for area events. There is so much that happens in this thriving community. All my best to you and your family. ... more

Hi Letty
I stumbled across your question while I was doing a search for something else-I have a son who is autistic and attends public school in onslow county-it would depend on the age of the child and whether you wanted the child placed into a regular classroom and pulled out for specials or if you wanted the child in an inclusive classroom-I can go into more detail with you via private email-
