Since your question is in 2010 your answer is likely because most people who own in Wild Dunes own second homes, and this is when the market crashed. I have one listed right now in OceanClub for 125,000 for 1/13. They sell well especially coming into this time of the year. Ours has gotten 3-4 showings and it's been listed a little over a month (and it's April). I would list it as soon as possible if you want it gone this year. I'll help

Always remember that rules set by municipalities can change so you have to keep on top of their actions and try to maintain any rental rights that you have when purchasing the property. That would depend on the individual property. If it's desireable as a weekly rental, it would certainly command a lot more money than long term. I do not disagree with David, but I would add to seek a prospectous on the units from a rental company. They would be able to estimate your yearly bookings and income. That should make it clear whether to lease longer term over the winter, to keep it weekly all year, or to simply keep doing what you are already doing. ... more
