Good afternoon,

When you first posted your problem, I told you how to get done what you needed to have done, since you were already in the closing process.

You don't seem interested in getting a good Realtor to represent your interests. So you either continue to be frustrated by your situation or you personally do something about it.

I suggested you go to the condo and meet some of your prospective new neighbors and simply ask them these questions. And any others that may come up. I would simply knock on the doors of the neighbor on either side of your new unit, introduce yourself and ask if they'd mind answering a few questions. If they are unwelcoming, you might not want to live there anyway.

Once you get the name and unit number, immediately go see the President.

The management company answers solely to the Association President. Tell the President what you need. If he cannot get the matter resolved, again you might not want to live there anyway.

I have been assuming you do in fact have a contract as you originally stated but now begin to question, especially if you want to know "......pet, maintenance fees, etc."

Either work with a Realtor or continue to do-it-yourself seem to be your only choices

Hi, I also live here on Island Estates. Congrats on selling your unit. No, your management company works for you. I would contact the President and Vice President of your association and have a meeting asap. I hate to even guess who the management company is, but I already have a good Idea. Next your association needs to hire a new company. ... more

Jim Olive answered:
Flood insurance is the best bargain of all the types of home insurance (flood, windstorm, homeowners, contents). That's because Uncle Sammy subsidizes it and makes taxpayers across the US chip in to help pay for policies in areas prone to flooding. As a homeowner up in the Mountains of NH, I'm not so crazy about that, but sure am grateful for it with respect to my home down here in the islands!! ... more

Island Estates is an exceptional place to live. There's something for those looking for condo living as well as single family homes.
From St Pete Beach to Crystal Beach there are nearly 800 recently built or well maintained waterfront homes that offer incredible flexibility in lifestyle. Let me know what you need and I can point you to the most likely communities.

Recently sold two residences with big water views of Boca Ciega Bay.

Best of success to you,
