Hello Samnthanjerry,
good morning.
Most lenders will require at least 24 months from the discharge date of your bankruptcy, as well as reestablish your credit. I would like to speak to you and see if we can help you at some time. We work with 1st time home buyers all the time. Do you have a realtor yet? If not we have preferred ones we can get you in contact with. I would like to see if I can help you out with a home mortgage. I will try and make this a very easy process. Please let me know how to help out.
Thanks much.

HolRealtor,
Your situation sounds fishy. Do you have an agent involved? They should be the person you're asking. If you don't have an agent, get to an attorney immediately. Bring all your paperwork. ... more

I tend to agree with the agents that have already answered this, in that financing and homework are a good place to start.

Talking with a lender should be an exchange, learning where you are now, and where you want to be. With a little luck you qualify for a loan that meets your expectations for purchase price and monthly payment. And with a little luck your lender can patiently and clearly answer any questions you might have. I've been helping first time buyers for over 20 years, and I'd like to think I could answer your questions and even anticipate a few you may not even know to ask. With that in mind I recommend all first time home buyers (and even many move-up buyers) attend a home buyer workshop. To find one in your neighborhood, check out the MN Home Ownership Center web site at www.hocmn.org. Then if you have any questions, give me a call.

Good luck in your home search
