It is not a place I would wish anyone to have to live in (A) the downwind from the refinery of course (B) residual from ship building WWII is slow to transform and (C) poor southern origins of majority of people living there amongst (D) gang activity makes it one of the least safe places for a white person to ride through there at 3AM. Just like Oakland. You can draw a diagram showing how gangs wander from sections of town and mix it up. Extreme if you're a sociologist you'd love it - or a psychologist or doctor - a lawyer - or a cop - great for you then. Or if you work for the city or are at the dump - great steady business. If you work for the EPA its a great opportunity for steady work. Or the DTSC. Great back log of work there. Weld it in place or 'its gone'. LOL ... more
