Consult with an attorney who specializes in real estate for any necessary information; for possible helpful information see link http://www.nyshcr.org/Agencies/DHCR/

The rent increases allowed under rent stabilization change each year, they are set by the Rent Guide lines board. They also have different increase amounts depending on the last rent amount, any major capital improvements completed either building wide or in an individual apartment during a vacancy.
The best source of information is the Department of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) web site. Go through the information sheets and pull out all that apply to your situation.
All rents must be registered with DHCR annually.
