Dear Ricki,

You're going to love Boca Raton! Priort to living in Boca Raton, I have lived all over...Ohio, Arizona, Cali, Miami, and other areas in South Florida.

I personally had a misperception on Boca Raton...and they were all incorrect. Life in Boca Raton is everything you imagine and more…great weather year round, soaring palm trees, and turquoise Atlantic waters.

Boca Raton is conveniently located between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. West Palm Beach is only about 25 miles North, Fort Lauderdale is only 25 minutes south, and Miami, less than an hour away, which offer a nightlife second to none, in addition to notable art museums.

There is fabulous entertainment around town, culture, recreational activity, stylish shopping, fantastic restaurants and outdoor fun one can experience in South Florida.

For the water lover, south Florida is the Yachting capital of the world! There are exciting offshore excursions, , waterskiing and windsurfing -each to be enjoyed in the warm waters of the Atlantic. For the land lovers, experience championship golf courses and amazing country clubs!

Sports lovers can enjoy professional football, baseball, basketball, and hockey games and championships.

So what i'm getting a, is there so much to do here! And there really is an area for everyone that will be perfect for you.

Ricki, if you need help discovering the areas Boca Raton has to offer, It will be my pleasure!

Well why would you reply if your do not handle residential, Boca is not a Big City Like DC. I have lived in Boca on and off since 1968 and have seen alot of changes, Some people move here so they can say 'I live in Boca Raton' it was better when it was a sleppy town and out west was all Farms. Now I'm ready to get out of her and go to the country to get away from all the SNOBS that have made this area worse. If you don't like it Move.

I am a commercial real estate broker and I do not handle residential so I am not motivated for you to hire me. I've lived in boca for 3 years and the negatives are the many new yorkers that head here during the winter. Often times they are rude. The dining, movies, stores are all packed with much longer lines than normal. It is also costly. Although I lived in DC for 10 years prior and that was much more expensive, boca doesn't offer what the big cities do so I question why their prices are so high. Status I suppose. Hope this helps.

Hi Ricki,
There may be some negatives depending on where you intend to live and what you like to do. Each community, neighborhood, and building (if considering a condo) has its pluses and minuses.
Selecting an objective Realtor is your best bet. Anyone depicting a rosy picture is just selling you hard...

I don't know of any!! LOL
Hi Ricki!
My name is Alicia Lammersdorf. I have been living in Boca Raton for over 18 year and I LOVE IT! So much so that my website is ILoveBoca.com. Before Boca Raton, I lived in Switzerland. When I decided to move to Florida I traveled everywhere and chose Boca Raton. It is a gorgeous city with many wonderful things to offer from GREAT restaurants, beautiful parks and beaches, two universities, colleges, top private and public schools in the state, organized roadway systems, gorgeous communities, great weather, landscaping, private airport, close to 3 major airports and cities, museums, art, shopping, events, entertainment and so much more I can go on and on. I like it so much that I cannot think of anything right now. Then again, if you don’t like any of those things I mentioned, they could be a negative..Right?
Give me a call or email me and I can help answer your questions and concerns. I work and live in Boca and Delray Beach. I know both cities very well and can help you.
I am sorry I could not answer your question!
My best to you!
