On medical facilities, there are 2 hospitals, one is cancer treatment of America one of the best in the world. Plenty. Vintage cars, there are tons of shows in the winter, but as it heats up there are less, but this is the best area to find builders, parts, and shows, also with the pro baseball fields there are many opportunities for more shows. We have had 3 show cars a 56 T-bird continental kit with hard top won many shows with it, the 39 Dodge Businessmans coupe is a major trophy winner, Best in show at the Route 66 run in Flagstaff 2 times, and our newest is a 53 GMC 5 window truck, won both shows it was entered in, yes there are plenty of car fans and more places to meet people than you can keep up with. Crime, very low, there was one comment that I suspect is very untrue, the best areas in Goodyear are Estrella Mountain, and Palm Valley, there is also Pebble Creek, gate guard adult. Some of the best places if you are a car guy would be acre homes they offer Shops for working on cars It's great. If you want any more info call me or email me. I could live any where in there Valley of the Sun, I pick the Goodyear area.

The change in the Wildflower Ranch area of Goodyear has been very demoralizing. Only 10 years old, if you drive the development and look at the junkers and front yards with no landscaping or just dirt, windows with broken blinds or what looks like blankets hanging, resident home-owners are rightly upset. There is an increase in crime and recently 2 girls were molested in their own home. The molester escaped but had the nerve to come back the next day, hoping to find the girls alone again, and was arrested. That night a low-flying helicopter rattled my windows for over an hour, so I have to say, also from personal experience, the Goodyear Poilice are very responsive. With rents here now under $800 a month, I am sorry to say there is no way to predict the future of this previously lovely area. Open garage doors display garages full of bunk beds, if that tells you anything. My home built 10 years ago which sold for just over $2K was appraised at $61,000 last year for tax purposes.

Hello, I've lived in Goodyear for almost 10 years without any problems. Some folks might call me a little biased for Goodyear & that's OK as I love this city! You should get the crime stats from the Goodyear Police Dept directly at or call them at 623-932-1220. ..... We have two hospitals in town and many national recognized/ranked in the Phoenix area. ......... Plenty of vintage car clubs in the valley and you can a list of them at If you need any housing questions answered, please let me know. Sincerely, Eric

Denny, Goodyear is a wonderful place to live! Homes are still priced to sell although inventory levels are dropping rapidly.

Also, if you're a baseball fan, there are the new spring training facilities of the Reds & Indians!

I did a quick search of ALL 'Active' property listed for sale in Goodyear, under $150k. There are currently 42 homes listed. Here's the link:

42 ‘ACTIVE’ property listings in Goodyear under $150k:,12,1
This link is valid until 3/10/2012.

If you would like to see any of them or would like some further information, simply give me a call or send me a quick email; I'd be more than happy to help!

Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods.
