FYI, the popular website allows you to type in two addresses (under "Your Commute") and it will not only tell you the distance it will tell you the terrain - hilly, flat, etc! Here's the link (assuming it works) describing the commute between 3883 Ct. Ave and the Cleveland Park metro station -…

Hi Gayle, I sold a unit to a close friend of mine earlier this year in this building and she tells me that she affirms what everyone says below regarding the slight incline towards Cleveland Park metro. She typically uses this metro unless she needs to go to the Giant at VanNess. Hope this helps.

You'll find that Connecticut Avenue is a long grade, descending toward downtown, but not up-and-down hilly. 3883 Conn Ave is situated almost equidistant between VanNess Metro and Cleveland Park Metro. So pick which station you want to use depending on how much exercise you want. The easiest traveling would be to walk down to Cleveland Park Metro to take a train, and when returning to get off at VanNess Metro, walking down Connecticut Ave to get back to 3883. Or reverse it if you want to burn a few more calories! There is a Giant Food at VanNess Center, so easy to pick up groceries and walk downhill to carry them back.

Yep, very slight incline from the CP metro, but on the way back from work, it can be nice to stop at the VanNess stop, do your grocery shopping at the newer Giant there, then walk down the hill a similar distance home.

Hi Gayle,

This area is not very hilly but some people prefer to walk down hill and walk to the Cleveland Park metro and from the Van Ness Metro back home. I live nearby and would happy to show you this listing. Please feel free to contact me at or 202-494-0714.

Best regards,

Pretty flat between Cleveland Park metro station & 3883 Connecticut Ave (near Tilden). Connecticut Ave. north of Tilden has much more of an incline (between Tilden & Van Ness metro stop). Happy to answer any other questions you might have -- 202.491.5220 or!
