There is a higher property tax for rental property. Which usually is absorbed by the rent.
It could be almost double for the landlord.

It wasn't clear whether you are the prospective Tenant, or the Owner/Landlord. I would first check with the town
to see if this applies. If you are the Owner/Landlord, there may be Income Taxes due on rents received -- sometimes Owners forget that they may be liable for Income Taxes on Rental monies they receive -- best to consult a tax expert (accountant, attorney) for the given state.
