is anyone aware of how to find out where a well is located on a property?

You should have a well head that is exposed so that it can be accessed for replacing the well pump (not a holding tank, the pump itself) and testing.

Diane: Start wiht this agency. If the state of Pennsylvania requires permits for wells it will be as simple as contacting this agency for assistance..... http://www.paofficials.com/index.php

Or if that doesn't help then contact every major well water driller in the area and ask if they have ever drilled a well on the property in question. They will have maps and records dating back to when the well was drilled. Good Luck!

Each state has records of WELL REPORTS....the report should show who the last inspector was...contact them....
