Anywhere from 200-500 per sf. Lots of variables. A good finsih would be 300/sf but there is no end to the finished one can pick. If you are on the strand, the finished are very high but if you are building in east part of MB, next to Aviation, do not over spend. You have to look at neighboring homes and then decide. Cost estimates change with time. Good luck.

It is running $200 per SF average. Best thing is to contact a gen. contractor. If the lot is hilly with upward or downward slope and is steep sloped, grading and retaining costs will be around $100 per SF

The average shouldn't vary significantly for West LA vs. anywhere else in the LA area. Figure you aren't going to build new construction for less than $150/foot, and that doesn't include landscape/hardscape/pool or grading/hillside work.

Wow - that answer can vary wildly... Typically new construction costs average $180 - $300/sf, but as mentioned previously, that depends on the upgrades or finishes you choose. Good Luck!

Dear Sgolert,
It might be difficult to get an accurate answer for this question because so much depends upon exactly where in 90066 you are considering. In my experience it costs an average of 290.00 PSF and up depending upon the job itself.

On the westside I think average is 250 and it just goes up from there if you want a Viking stove, custom windows, high end floors I think you get the point. It's often cheaper today to buy a home thats already bee n upgraded than to try and do it yourself. Need help buying or selling then let us know.

Depends on the zip code. Marshall and Swift has it available on-line. Most will quote a price that includes a large profit margin. Replacement cost is usually around $85 to $140 per SF then depreciated on the effective age not the actual age.

People like us find construction costs to be reasonable at this levels: $90 to $290 depending on finishes chosen. That being said, I have seen people choose such finishes that ended up costing about $1,200 per square foot! It's all about what you want.
