There is a large varity of choices in the Venice, Mar Vista, Playa area, including emersion programs offering Spanish, German, Japanese, and other languages, Waldorf, Constructivism, and traditional teaching. Schools include private, charter, magnet, religious, public and others. Go to Greatschools.net to compare schools and neighborhood demographics. They also show parent comments and ratings to help gain a insider's perspective of the schools.

In Marina del Rey and Venice, CA the school district is Los Angeles Unified. For Santa Monica, CA the school district is Santa Monica Unified School District.
