Put on some nice jewelry. Talk on an iPhone, and replace your handkerchief with a twenty dollar bill. Walk to the train station. You'll have a good idea what safety is like when you get there.

there is crime in every single neighborhood in Chicago.. we are a big city with about 10% of idiots who probably should have their entire extended families taken out in the lake and drown together on the 4th of July for all our pleasure.. but that is never going to happen until I run the government..the neighborhood you are referring to does have crime and you need to do YOUR work and look on the internet and figure it out for YOUR family..check "crime stats" to start with

Due some due diligence and familiarize yourself with the neighborhood. Drive by at different times of the day and get a feel for the area.

If you invest in a visit to the city, I will invest time to give you a tour and help you with your search. There is really no other way for someone from outside Chicago to make a good choice if the purchase is for your own residence.
For investment, quite another story. i have helped several people with investment purchases here with great success and never met them until the closing.

Feel free to contact me if you'd like a longer conversation.
