Please if some one can tell me the 33905 area a safe and clean area to live? If I want to rent my house, is the rent market good in this area?

I've lived in Ft Myers Shores (33905 zip) for 24 years. I feel very safe, walk the neighborhood and to the stores. I live on a busy (cars) street but it's very quiet otherwise. There are pockets of criminals everywhere. If I didn't feel safe here, believe me, I would move. The streets closest to 80 (Palm Beach Blvd) that have rentals seem to attract the most transient. If there were sidewalks it would be perfect in my opinion! I would suggest visiting the neighbors you plan to move or rent next to. That's always a good way to get a feel for the area!

Real estate agents in Florida are not legally permitted to discuss crime statistics with you. This is the reason the others are telling you that you need to do your own research. You can visit the Lee County Sheriffs website and get lots of information by going to

The rental market is doing well in Lee County right now so if you price the property correctly you should be able to find a decent tenant. If you do not want the responsibility of being a landlord you may also want to consider selling the property.

Feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Hi there,
I hope you will find your crime search to your satisfaction. I have sold several homes in different parts of the 33905 area and have family and friends that live in this area too. Easy to rent since it is close to shopping and Interstate. Happy to help you shop by using the my website below that gives you access to the FL Gulf Coast MLS up to date information.

Only you can decide what is safe. Checking out crime stats with the police and sheriff's departments is always a good idea http://( &

The rental market is doing very well right now in most areas. Depending on the property a reasonable price should bring a qualified tenant quickly.
