We have one of the lowest crime rates in the state of Florida. Cape Coral in general is pretty safe.

As others have mentioned Realtors are not allowed to discuss crime statistics so utilize the web-sites they provided and visit the area to do your own research.

Here is a site where you can see crime in the area by entering the address.

I live in the Cape with my husband and children. It is a big city with a "home town" feel. It is a good idea to be careful and mind your safety no matter where you reside.

All the Best!

I have a few friends over there off of Burnt Store, they seem to feel safe. I would call the local police station or check this out:

No matter where you live, the nicest location or the worst...Always lock your car/home doors. If you don't feel safe, maybe set up a neighborhood watch?

I hope this helps,

Wow... Here is a link to a blog I posted. Cape Coral is the second safest city in Florida.…

Here is a link that Cape Coral offers to give you specific crime information near any address.…

I would be happy to help if you are not already working with an agent.

Have a great day,

When it comes to any safety concerns, your best source of accurate and up to the minute information is the local police department; therefore consider a call/visit and ask all your questions, hear all firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area, do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase, or not, in specific neighborhoods...

It is against the law for a Realtor to answer that question. You need to call the local police for that information.

However I live in the general area with a wife and 2 boys you are asking about and we have not had any issues.

Contact me directly if you want assistance looking for a home in this area.

I always find it interesting when people say that. Cape Coral has one of the lowest crime rates in the state. I live there and I never feel "unsafe." :)
