I'm looking to buy in Claremont, but what is that open land north of the 210 freeway on the east side of Claremont?

Hello Alfred,

Much of that land is an active quarry, and other portions of empty land in that area are spreading grounds for rain and snow run-off from the mountains. That area is currently protected from development because it helps to replenish the local ground water.

It's mostly privately owned quarries, some state owned land, and flood plains controlled by the county. There are some great trails in that area though, so it's good for hiking.
