I live in Oneida on Belmont Avenue - do you think moving to Elizebeth Street in Utica is a step down? Im unfamiliar with the area and need some input.

yes it would be a step down i know i lived on that street before, 22 yrs ago.

I would need more information to answer this, Matt. Are you planning to sell a house and buy in Utica or rent? If so, you will have closing costs for both transactions. A real estate agent can help you find the selling prices for homes on both streets and make a number of other suggestions to help you evaluate this.
