Hi Joyce,

Depending on the neighborhood, you could also try parking and taking a walk through the area.
I like to ask homeowners in the area how they feel about their neighborhood.

If there is something bad to tell, people are naturally inclined to let it out... negative information always seems get around quick with neighbors. haha

Also, try trulia's crime map... **that's my trulia plug for the day** :)

Hope this helps,

Good advice from Anna - agents are limited in their ability to comment, but you can, and should do your own due diligence on matters of greatest import to you. Walk the streets on different days and at different times of day to get your own feel and by all means reach out to the police about any police activity/crime in the area.

For accurate and up to the minute safety/crime information, contact/visit the local police department, ask all your questions and hear all firsthand; real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to buy, or not, in specific neighborhood.
