Closest hospital is in Prescott Valley 3 or so away. Community centers will be in Prescott or Prescott Valley also. Dewey is a rural area that has some a few subdivisions and a lot of promise for future development. Let us know if you need help in the area.

Hi Selene,

I just want to add that some parts of Dewey have been incorporated into Prescott Valley and some are actually in unincorporated Yavapai County areas. If you are looking for rural property you may be in Dewey-Humboldt itself, or you may be in the county with a Dewey Mailing Address. - it can be a bit confusing but a good buyer's agent can help you sort it all out and help you find just the right place in our wonderful Central Highlands Area (Greater Prescott).

If you are looking at the Quailwood Subdivision, which is actually part of Prescott Valley, you can log onto and check out that neighborhood - here is the direct link

One of the draws of the Dewey area is its convenient proximity to Interstate 17 that runs between the Phoenix/Scottsdale Area and Flagstaff. While we encourage shopping locally - a person living in Dewey has quick access to the conveniences of a major Metro area and all of the services found there. In less than an hour, you can reach Anthem, AZ – there is a factory outlet there – just ½ hour more and you are in the Phoenix area.

Would be happy to help with any additional info you may need.

Hi, you know the internet is a great place for you to explore what is close by, in and around a particular town.
Sometimes the town's own website will give you maps and business information, sometimes if you look at listings from agents, you find a map and details, and google and mapquest also are helpful....

Once you are looking at properties with a Buyers Agent you trust and you commit to, that agent can take you around for you to see what surrounds a property, and of course you can drive around a property as well....

So make use of the internet and/or better yet connect with a local Realtor. Sorry I am not in VA

Good Luck to you!
