You need to visit several local brokerages and ask the Office Manager or Broker in Charge to assign you to one of their new licensed agents. Typically agents who just got their license will start with rentals until they get some experience and clients. Then they move up to buyers and sellers.

Unfortunately, most realtors don't work with rentals because the commission earned is too little. Realtors make a lot more money with buyers and sellers.

Are you referring to a lockbox that a realtor placed on the door OR is this a home for sale by owner and the owner has a security device? If it's a realtor's lockbox, then you need to call a realtor to show you the home. Realtors do not give out the codes to their lockboxes. I know there are a few brokerages that you need to sign up with and they allow buyers access to the home without the agent present. You need to Google this. However, the brokerage has their method to screen you first before you can see the home.

If this home is For Sale By Owner, then you need to contact the seller or owner to get access to the code.

We have sold our home and closed. A termite inspection was initiated by the buyers for a VA loan. Now, 2 weeks after closing, the title agency is asking us as the sellers to sign the bottom of the inspection report. We had our own inspection when listing the home and we transferred the annual termite plan to the buyers. Why do we need to sign their inspection? There were no problem areas found. ... more
