Having the right pricing strategy is an area that cleaning business owners struggle with the most. One on hand, you will want to make sure prices for your services are competitive. On the other hand, you need to make sure you generate profit so that your business continues to grow. For residential foreclosure cleaning services, the pricing method used is usually by the hour.

You will need to contact property preservation companies and fill out vendor applications. There is a article that gives more information on what you need to be mindful of when starting your property preservation company.

I have also included a link of where you can get a list of property preservation companies their direct emails, phone numbers and applicaitons. So most of the work has been done for you. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Some of my thoughts you might already have done, so please excuse.

If you think that this is something that you really want to do, the first thing you will need is a license. If you are going to do simple property preservation, you can get a handy man's license through the City or County. There you can also find more information on what you are allowed to do under the umbrella of this license. Then network!. Contact Real Estate Companies. Go on Linked, Active Rain, etc. and post your services.

The only way to realize any goal, is to write down a plan, and begin.

Good Luck to you!

How much time does it take to get that sort of license? I'm mostly interested in whether it will take a lot of schooling or if you can find the training online. I'm a find-it-and-learn-it-yourself kind of girl.

Thanks!

Hi,

You need to first set up an LLC for yourself, get yourself insurance and a contractors license. Once you did those steps you can start filling out vendor applications to start getting jobs from national companies.
You are going to need to purchase supplies to do these jobs. It is important that you get quality supplies for cheap since it will impact your profit.
PPMaterials.com is a great place for supplies. You can find everything you would need for this industry.

Good Luck!

Contact the acquiring institutions of failed banks for foreclosure cleanup work... see article below that will guide you in finding these acquiring institutions (How and Where to Find Failed Banks for New Foreclosure Cleanup Business Contracts!). You have to be properly setup (license and insurance) to get in the door.

Good luck to you.

Your going to have a tough time if your tryng to get in with the REO business. Alot are being taken care of by several large companys now and local agents dont have the choices they used to have, and when the local agents have the choice, most likely that business is going to go to someone they have already formed a relationship with in the past. Good luck to you.
