Your agent should be able to assist in this, if not I would recommend speaking to a title company as they would have a few suggestions

I can't believe that I didn't think to ask my agent for a referral. Thank you for setting me on the right track. There is a home that my wife and I love, but we want to know who much land comes with it. There is a small lake nearby, and I would love to build a private dock.

I agree. If you don't have an agent, try google or yelp for your area. As an international company, Trulia won't be able to recommend surveyors in your area. It's important to distinguish between surveying property for residential or commercial purposes as well.
