Where can I get a deed suitable to redeem ground rent in Baltimore?

Asked by Doug, Baltimore, MD Fri Mar 6, 2009

The ground rent holder has agreed to sell. We just need to complete the transaction. Is there a preprinted deed suitable to do this?

Doug,

I own a few hundred ground rents and am familiar with the Deed to merge the reversionary interest (you are buying and extinguishing the ground rent). This really needs to be prepared by an attorney. Contact any title company - they will probably charge you $200-300 for this.

I called Continental last Friday and did not heard back from them. Found another title Co. and the process is in the works. Thanks for your answers. Ted, your estimate was correct.
