The representation of clients who are “immediate family” must be made in writing in the listing agreement and in any sale or lease contract. NAR has adopted this definition of "immediate family" for Article 4:

"As used in the Code of Ethics, the term 'immediate family' includes, but is not limited to, the REALTOR® and the REALTOR'S® spouse and their siblings, parents, grandparents, children (by birth or adoption), grandchildren and other descendants."

There is no word about ex-es.

But, as many already mentioned: disclosure anyway.

You should call and ask them. Set up a variety of interviews, just as they interview you, you are interviewing them to see if they offer what you need. Try big, try small and try a local independent company. Big franchises will ave online classes and resources where smaller co's will have one on one training. Choose whats best for you and ask what you get for what you may pay. Also head over to active rain, set up a free account and start a blog. Start promoting yourself now. You should interview with both a franchise and a local Independent office. The franchise will have more resources for online and class training but then you may get lost. A small office may not have the resources but train on the job. Ask what costs there are, what you make and if they mentor you. Some learn better in a class, some learn better by doing. There are tons of real estate on line courses. I think you may just need to pick up the phone and call a few and see whether it will be a good fit for you.

Sounds like you're on the right track looking for a team. Check your MLS and see who is doing the most transactions in your area, then start calling and asking for face to face meetings. See if you find a good fit. You should look for a team that offers training, coaching, mentorship and leads.
