It's free to realtors if you want to post your listings. You should have listing syndication from your local MLS.

I work with several investors in the Katy area. If you would like to see what is available, just let me know and I can send you the available properties together with the comparative market analysis for rental income. I work with great property management companies and would be more than happy to send their contact information.

Good luck!

I know this is old but I had to comment on Al Geffon's comment. What he had right is that Summerwood is a lovely community, having lived here for 6 years. The area is growing fast and retail is moving in in the same way that the master planned community is built. Where he misses the boat on is his proximity to Houston comment. Summerwood is less than 30 minutes to downtown Houston during rush hour. Try that from anywhere else in Houston counting Clear Lake, Spring/Woodlands and Katy. Forget Cypress. Also, traffic in the NE corridor of Houston is the lightest of all areas around town. Finally, the Exxon campus is further to the North rather than South. What is being planned near Summerwood, almost adjacent is Generation Park which will bring new jobs and will help to strenghten the housing market already booming in this area. Look up Generation Park for more info.

Good Luck

The answer is no. Almost all Texas HOAs are nonprofit corporations governed by the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Law, which prohibits directors from being paid for their service, other than as reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses. The best resource I am aware of for answering questions regarding HOAs is a book called Texas Homeowners Association Law, which is a legal reference book written for non-lawyers on all of the laws that apply to HOAs in Texas. You can find more information about the book at I have the book and have found it to be an invaluable resource. ... more
