As you already know, rentals are hard to come by in Hoover, AL. I would suggest going to If you fill out a rental application then they will help you locate a rental in your desired area. The biggest advantage with pre-registering is that your credit check and rental information is done. This will give you the ability to jump on any new properties that come up for rent. I can honestly say most in Hoover will rent the first day they are rented. Good luck and if you decide to buy, there is a great program with 100% financing now available in Hoover. The agent was correct when she said it could be difficult to find FHA loan approved condos in Hoover. The Chapel Creek Condominiums ARE approved for FHA loans and the condo association fee provides many wonderful amenities like a pool, tennis courts, work out room, security officers, beautiful landscaping, and more. The association fee is decided on by the condo owners because the condo board is not allowed to change it without holding a vote in which all the owners participate. Ross Bridge is a great option and is a very easy commute to downtown without gettng on an expressway. It is a very nice neighborhood with sidewalks, activities, walking trails, pools, parks, golf course and voted in 2011 the best small town community in America. Houses in all price ranges.You should take a look here before you decide on anything near 280. I did and I am so glad that I did not put myself in the middle of that traffic everyday. Now.....I am in the process of selling (not sold yet) and retiring to FL. ... more

The train near Ross Bridge area is barely noticeable (sound wise) from the homes. Especially those deep in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is set up so that you have plenty of exclusive community amenities available to you including a golf course. I've known several people to live in Ross Bridge, and had several clients look in that area. None of the homeowners have anything to say or complain about hearing trains. Most foreclosures ARE in need of repair, and the history of this property -- how long on market, how many price changes, and whether or not there has been any activity with regard to offers -- will all affect the negotiability of the price. If you are interested in my help, please contact me. I have access to several contractors, and we can get an idea what the costs will be to get the property like you want it.
