If you remember who your title company was~ give them a call. Otherwise you don't really need your deed for anything it's on record at court house.

If you are selling...buyers title company will be making a new one transferring to buyers name.

Hi Margaret

It is the practice in this area that the Buyer's Title Company prepares the Deed. All you need is a Buyer.

if you are in a state were an attorney handels closing then he will have a copy, if you close with a title company, then you will get it from them.

Hi Margaret,
Even if you don't remember the name of the Title Company, (it would be better if you did and used them),
Google "Title Company" and your city in Georgia, and in Philly, and find a Title Company that has an office in both places.
Go in and talk to them;
It may cost you a little more, but you'll have someone actually helping you.

Go down to the County Recorder's Office and request.
Probably cost you nominal fee.

Good luck and may God bless
